How to Get a Spiritual Stimulus
Pastor Michael Hoffman  E-mail Michael
Oregon Church of God, Oregon, Illinois
Message given at the Church of God General Conference 2009 in Oregon, Illinois
We live in a crazy world with far too much going on.  Our lives are rushed.  We're
living at such a fast pace that it's hard to keep up.  Maybe the problem is there's
too much stimulating our lives.  It's time to slow down, and just be still for awhile.
It's time to rest, to listen, and to pray.  That's how to get a spiritual stimulus.

The Answer to the Thief on the Cross
H.L. Davis    Grapevine, Texas
In today's study, we consider the answer to the thief on the cross.  Many
commonly believe that both Jesus and the thief were in paradise on the day that
Christ died.  But is that really the case?  Is that really what the thief was asking?
Is that really the answer that Jesus gave?  As we examine the testimony from the
other gospels, the punctuation of the verses, and the words spoken by Jesus
himself, we find the meaningful truth buried under all of the contradicting tradition.

What's Coming in the Mideast
E. Richard Smith
God has regathered his people to Israel, but with their return has come the return
of conflict.  And with all of the conflict in the Middle East, we see this little country
at the center of the news continuously.  With all of the weaponry in our world, we
can't help but wonder if a nuclear confrontation is coming.  And yet the nations
continue to defy God, almost seemingly daring Him to do something.  And God
won't put up with it forever.  Judgment is coming when Jesus comes.  God's plan
will be fulfilled no matter what happens.  And it's in His plan that we put our hope
as we look ahead at what's coming.
