The Prophet's Mantle
Jim Graham    1974
Elisha served under Elijah.  They both were men of God.  They both
preached the truth even when it was unpopular.  They both spoke out
against false religion.  But Elisha had one request.  He wanted double the
power that Elijah had.  What caused God to listen to the demands of Elisha?
Why are we powerless?  Have we asked for God's power in our lives?  Have
we asked for God's power in the modern-day church?

The Servant King
Scott Ross   1974
In Christ, our example, we have a different standard of greatness.  We're not
great because of how many serve us, but because of who we serve.  It's a
different criteria than the world.  In today's message, we learn three ways we
can minister to others like Jesus - our servant king.
Mark 10:35-45; Philippians 2:3,4; 1 John 4:8-10, 19; 3:17,18; James 2:15;
Matthew 25; Galatians 6:2,10;  1 Corinthians 5:17-20; John 10:45
The Message of Pentecost
Z.B. Duncan   1984
In the book of Acts, we read about a sermon that converted 3000 in one day.
Through the gospel message, the church continued to grow daily.  It was a
clear message of faith that comes through Jesus Christ.  It was a message
about his life, his death and resurrection, and his coming return and
restitution of the earth.  And in the disciples' witness, we find the example of
teaching and preaching for the church of today.

The Open Bible Pulpit: The Church at Laodicea
Pastor Chuck Jones  E-mail Chuck    Visit Chuck's blog
Church of the Open Bible Pomona, California
God allows us to make our own choices.  He lets us choose - and not
always for the best.  At the church of Laodicea, we learn some lessons about
living for Jesus today.  He knew their works, and he knows ours.  What can
we learn about having passion for our church from this "not-so-hot-one?"
Where Do We Go From Here?
Pastor Dale Swartz
E-mail Dale
Litchfield Church of God  Litchfield, Minnesota
Message recorded at the Brush Creek Church of God 150 Year Celebration
In today's special message, Pastor Dale reflects and reminisces about his
memories with the Brush Creek Church of God in Tipp City, Ohio.  He
shares the impact of the faith and the truth in the Church of God, and how to
have a real vision of what's to come.  Listen in as he encourages us not to
be complacent as we fight the good fight and contend for the faith.
A Burdensome Stone - Part Two
Pastor Gordon Landry     E-mail Gordon
Flagg Center Church of God   Rochelle, Illinois
Jerusalem is to be a burdensome stone to any nation who comes against it
in battle or warfare.  Through many battles, God has continued to keep the
will be near destruction.  Israel is surrounded by nations intent on destroying
them, and they will try.  But if we know our scriptures, we know how this
battle will end.

Pastor Terry M. Ferrell   E-mail Terry
Greenville Church of God, 217 White Oak Road, Greenville, SC 29605
Zion is special to God.  He loves it and has chosen Zion for His habitation.
All the eyes of the world are also on Zion every day in the news.  In today's
study, we examine the history, the people, and the possession of this special
land and what the Psalms say of the mountain and the city of Zion.

Genesis and the Apocalypse
Pastor Hollis Partlowe
Dixon Church of God  Dixon, Illinois    Read more by Pastor Partlowe
Genesis is the book of beginnings.  We read of the origin of all things.
We read how the perfect environment that man lived in was lost through
disobedience.  In Revelation, or the Apocalypse, the final book of the
New Testament, we read of the completion of God's program.  We see
how God is planning to restore the perfection that was lost with a new
order of things.  In today's message, we look at the parallels and
comparisons from these two books.  And through out all of the Bible
from beginning to end, we see a complete book of redemption, where
man's life and home has been redeemed by God through his only son.

Spiritual Gifts: The Gift of Prophecy
Pastor Wally Winner     E-mail Wally
Joy Fellowship Church of God of the Abrahamic Faith  Piedmont, SC
Jesus left us with an important work to do, but he didn't leave us
powerless to do it.  In this series, we are focusing on who we are and
what gifts we've been given to do his service.  We all have a part in the
body of Christ and must put our gifts to use for the good of the body.  In
today's message, we look at the gift of prophecy.   In the spiritual gift
range, it is not predicting the future.  It is forth-telling.  It is the ability to
declare truth.  A person with this gift is a spokesman for God. Listen in,
and learn the three characteristics and the three liabilities of having
this spiritual gift.

A Stimulus Package...While We're Waiting
Pastor Steve Taylor   E-mail Steve
Lakeshore Bible Church  Tempe, Arizona   Check out Steve's blog
Jesus has entrusted his followers with possessions, life, resources,
abilities, and holy spirit.  But he wants us to wisely use and invest what
we've been given.  In today's study, we learn from the parable of the
master and servants how to invest for the king and invest in the
kingdom.  What are you willing to risk?
Matthew 25:14-30; 1 Corinthians 6:19,20; John 14:16,17; Acts 1:8
A Call to Dream Big, Believe Big, Serve Big
Pastor Alan Cain   E-mail Alan
Lawrenceville Church of God   Springfield, Ohio
In today's message, Alan shares how God has been working through
his life and the Lawrenceville Church.  We are encouraged to keep
walking in faith through the doors God opens as long as He keeps
opening them.  We have to step out in faith, and let God work out the
details.  God will answer in His timing if we have to believe He can.

The Gospel of John:  Not the Bread of Life, The Bread of Real  Life
Pastor Gary Burnham     E-mail Gary     Cornerstone Bible Church
McDonough, Georgia
We all know food is essential for our physical existence, but even
eating the best of food doesn't guarantee we will live any longer.
Jesus, on the other hand, offers us spiritual food which sustains
spiritual life.  And when we come to Jesus, we are really satisfied by a
regular consumption of spiritual nourishment.
John 6:1-13; 25-27; 48-58; Isaiah 55:2,3
The Parable of the Orange Tree
Pastor Rex Cain   E-mail Rex
Church of the Open Bible   Bedford, Ohio
There's plenty of "ripe fruit" for the picking.  So why do we hesitate?  Are
we overwhelmed by all the fruit that's out there?  What are we afraid of?
Do we have other things we'd rather be doing?  What will it take for
you
to start picking?
Body Building
Pastor John Railton
Family Bible Church   Granger, Indiana
Body building is a multi-billion dollar industry.  Every time you look on
television, there are continuous advertisements for the next piece of
exercise equipment that you can't live without.  But what's the problem
after you get the equipment?  If you don't use it consistently, it doesn't
work.  In this new series of messages, we follow our "spiritual
personal trainer," the Apostle Paul, as we learn to exercise our faith to
build up the body of Christ.

The Good News of the Mighty Lord Jesus Christ
Dr. Joe Martin    E-mail Joe    Atlanta Bible College
Sometimes people elevate Jesus so high that he's even bigger (or is)
God himself.  Others want to make Jesus just another man or just a
great teacher or prophet.  Even when he was alive, people argued and
debated just exactly who he was.  In today's message, we take a
"stompin' review" of Jesus - by Jesus himself.  He is the only way.  His
name is the only name.  Do you know the good news about him?
The Voice of Truth Broadcast:  Growth Through Renewal
Pastor Jeff Fletcher  E-mail Jeff
Bethel Church of God of the Abrahamic Faith, Pelzer, South Carolina
Wouldn't you like to have a do-over in life?  If you could, what would you like to
be made new?  Well, in Christ, we can live the new in the now.  If we're in
Christ, we're a new creation.  In today's growth study, we learn how to start
renewal in our lives, our love, our relationships, and our churches.
