How to Be a Healthy Church
Pastor Greg Demmitt    E-mail Greg
(recorded at General Conference in Indiana - 2006)
In Paul's letter to the Corinthians, we get a picture of a healthy church by
looking at the example of an unhealthy one.  In his instructions, we find the
three steps to become the church God wants us to be.
1 Corinthians 3; Mark 4:26-30; Hebrews 5:7
Bargaining with God - Part Two
Pastor Dave Hixon    E-mail Dave
Brush Creek Church of God   Tipp City, Ohio
Do you have unanswered prayers right now?  It's easy to lose heart when
we don't get an instant answer.  But God hears and preserves our
persistent prayers.
2 Samuel 24; 2 Kings 20; Luke 18:1-6; Matt. 15:21-27; Revelation 5:8; 8:3
What is the Christian Life?
Pastor Larry Mayberry   E-mail Larry
What does it mean to be a "Christian?"  How can you tell?  What's so
different?  Pastor Larry gives us some pointers on identifying what it
means to really be a disciple and follower called by
Christ, our leader.
Rest in the Lord
Pastor Michael Cisler    E-mail Mike
North Kent Bible Church   Rockford, Michigan
A day of rest is a blessing and benefit for man.  Sometimes we want to
take God's other commands seriously but won't let ourselves take a break.
We must be willing to admit we can't do everything on our own, and take
on the yoke of Jesus.  Laying our burdens at the cross, we can find
purpose rest in the Lord.
Exodus 20:8; Psalm 91:1; Matthew 11:28
Immersing Ourselves in God's Kingdom   Mark 1:9
Pastor Jeff Fletcher
E-mail Jeff
Bethel Church of God of the Abrahamic Faith, Pelzer, South Carolina
What does Jeff know about parenting?  Well, maybe less now than he
thought he did before he was one.  And like a large family, a church is full
of "spiritual children" at every stage of development.  In today's study,
Pastor Jeff gives examples from the life of Jesus and how we become
children of our Father in heaven.

Sunday morning at 9 a.m. and can be heard in the Capital District of New
York State.  Each week covers a different topic with a different guest as

In today's program, Dan shares about what it means to live out the
kingdom lifestyle in a college environment.
Recognizing the Presence of Jesus
Pastor John Denchfield   2/6/1966
Visiting all the way from the Lighthouse Mission in Digby, Nova Scotia,
Pastor Denchfield brings us today's message on recognizing the
presence of Christ.  As we hear the murmuring waters or the rattling rocks,
we can almost hear the voice of our Savior.  It was the same voice that
called Lazarus out of his grave.  It is the same voice that will bring
judgment - but also offers mercy.  And it's the first voice that those asleep
in Christ will hear when they awake on that resurrection day.  Can you hear
him calling you into his fellowship and companionship?
Revelation 1:10-15; Matthew 23; Hebrews 12; Exodus 20; John 5
Signs of the Times
Pastor Harold Doan  General Conference 8/17/1971
At Jesus' first coming, the Jewish nation missed all of the signs that
pointed to him, their Messiah, even as he was present in their midst.  And
the Bible still is overflowing with predictions that point to his return.  But
once again, few are recognizing the signs.  And never before in history
have all of these signals been so evident and obvious all at the same time.
The complete picture is emerging.  But as we see this world deteriorating
around us, don't be discouraged.  For Jesus Christ is coming again - and
he's coming soon!
Matthew 16:1-3; Psalm 83; 1 Timothy 4:1-3; 2 Timothy 3:1-7; 2 Thess. 2
Complete Healing at His Coming
Pastor Z.B. Duncan
Church of the Resurrection Hope, Lenoir, NC Radio Program 11/25/1984
It seems like it's human nature to continually seek something to complain
about.  But, if we're in Christ, we're already rich beyond measure.  And
there is a time coming when suddenly and instantly all of the troubles,
disease, and disabilities of this world will be restored.  And all of the trials
here and now cannot compare to the glory to come!
Isaiah 35:3; Isaiah 55:12
The Open Bible Pulpit: Life is a Struggle
Pastor Chuck Jones  E-mail Chuck    Visit Chuck's blog
Church of the Open Bible Pomona, California
In this series of messages based on 1 Thessalonians, Paul's first
letter to a congregation that we have, we see how what Paul has to
say to this new church echoes across the centuries to encourage,
comfort and challenge us. In today's message, Pastor Chuck
challenges us to remember what we have when life brings us
struggles.  Our world is uncertain, but our God is not.  Our Father
gives us everything we need to overcome.
1 Thessalonians 2:13-20; Hebrews 5:13,14
The Bible's Most Misunderstood Text
Pastor Hollis Partlowe
Dixon Church of God  Dixon, Illinois    Read more by Pastor Partlowe
Perhaps some of the most misused and misunderstood Bible texts
come from the parables Jesus used to teach the multitudes.  But to
interpret any of these illustrations, we must remember why it was told
and to whom it was told.  And perhaps no passage has been more
misinterpreted than the parable of "The Rich Man and Lazarus."  Was
Jesus trying to teach about the afterlife?  Or are we missing the point?
In today's message, Pastor Partlowe clarifies the simple truth and the
religious lesson behind this story.
Luke 16:14,19-31; 15:1,2; Mark 4:1,2, 33,34; Matthew 13:10,11; 15:22;

Mystery Revealed
Daniel Series #11:  The Stone Kingdom
Pastor Terry M. Ferrell   E-mail Terry
Greenville Church of God, 217 White Oak Road, Greenville, SC 29605
In this thorough study on the book of Daniel, we continue examining
the details of the kingdoms from Nebuchadnezzar's image in Daniel
chapter two.  In today's message, we look at the Stone Kingdom which
will destroy and rule over all the other kingdoms of the image.  When
Jesus returns, there will be a real government reigning over real
territory and a real restoration of the earth.  And that is our hope!
Daniel 2:44,45,27; 7:27,12; Isaiah 9:6,7; 2; 11; Romans 8; Psalm 72:8;
Luke 1;  2 Samuel 7; Revelation 11:15; Matthew 25:31
Triumph, Hope, and Joy
Dr. Alva G. Huffer
Bible Christianity is a religion characterized by triumph, hope, and joy,
centered on the message, the life, and the resurrection of Jesus the
Christ.  Believers who accept God's gift of salvation through His son
will reign with him in immortality and glory in that coming kingdom.
Will you make the decision to find the purpose and fulfillment in a
triumphant life?
Branded for Christ
Pastor Billie Kennedy
Have you yielded your life completely to God?  Does the world even
know you belong to Christ?  Do people recognize you as a Christian
seven days a week?
Thy Way   Acts 21:10-14
Pastor Wally Winner
E-mail Wally
Joy Fellowship Church of God of the Abrahamic Faith
Piedmont, South Carolina
In this series on the book of Acts, we're examining the church of the
first-century Christians and what we can learn from this dedicated
fellowship of believers today. Knowing, yielding and doing God's will
in our lives is easier to talk about than to do. Many pray, not to find
God's will, but to get approval of their own.  Paul, being warned of
danger in Jerusalem, was determined to continue on in God's will
wherever it would lead.
Working While Watching
Pastor Jack Hearp
So you've heard something about the return of Jesus?  You've heard
something about a coming kingdom?  But what do we do while we're
waiting? Jack has the answers, and some more details about the
kingdom we're anticipating.
