Bargaining with God - Part One
Pastor Dave Hixon    E-mail Dave
Brush Creek Church of God   Tipp City, Ohio
In the Middle Eastern culture, haggling for a price is a way of life.  But have
you ever thought about trying to make a deal with God?  Abraham did to
save a city.  Moses did to save a people.  Do you think God listens to your
offer?  Did you ever think that maybe God is waiting for one?  Sometimes,
when we're out of options, we have to "grab hold of the feet of God" until
He answers.       Genesis 18; Numbers 11
Joy and Happiness
Pastor Michael Cisler    E-mail Mike
North Kent Bible Church   Rockford, Michigan
What's the difference between "joy" and "happiness?"  (Well, take it from
Pastor Michael, a true Detroit Lions fan).  Where and how does joy come?
When we look for joy outside of God, we'll never be satisfied.  But through
Jesus Christ and God's commands, our joy is made complete.  And
when people see us, they will be attracted to the joy they see in us.
Psalm 43:4; 19:8; 119:111; John 3:26; 16:17-24; 15:9-11;
1 Peter 1:3-9; Proverbs 15:13
Healing Reconciliation
Pastor Jeff Fletcher  E-mail Jeff
Bethel Church of God of the Abrahamic Faith, Pelzer, South Carolina
There are some things Jeff has been asked to do in the ministry that we
probably don't want to know any more details about.  But nothing
compares to some of the things God has asked his prophets to do as
object lessons to his people.  In Hosea's book, we see an example of
how God's people break God's heart.  We damage our relationship.
We're unfaithful.  But God never stops loving us.  And he's always willing
to take us back.          Hosea 1; 3; 13; Romans 5:6; 2 Corinthians 5:17
Truth Matters Radio Broadcast:  Objections to the Kingdom
Host Sean Finnegan with Pastor Dustin Smith    E-mail Sean
The Truth Matters radio show on WHAZ (97.3 FM and 1330 AM) airs each
Sunday morning at 9 a.m. and can be heard in the Capital District of New
York State.  Each week covers a different topic with a different guest as
Sean fearlessly explores Bible truth.  In today's program, Dustin explains
several verses that are typically used to contradict the idea that the
kingdom of God is a future, political, realm to be established on earth at
the second coming of Jesus the Messiah.
Are You Ready?
Pastor E. Milon Hall  3/20/1966
The Bible tells us to be ready, but not just for the coming of the Lord.  We
are told to be ready to speak, to answer, to give, to work, to serve, and to
be ready for action.  We must keep our sense of urgency.  And God will
give us opportunities.  So what is your personal conviction?  When
someone asks why you believe, will you be ready to share the reason for
your hope?            2 Timothy 4:2; 2:24,25; 2 Corinthians 9:1,2; Acts 21:13
The Restitution of All Things
Pastor Lyle Rankin
Since the beginning, man has had two choices: life and death.  And since
man's fall, sin has cursed the earth.  But when Jesus returns, he will once
again restore the earth and restore peace as in the days of creation.  But
until then, we must preach the same gospel Jesus commanded his
disciples to take into all the world.  Are you anticipating those times of
refreshing that are coming?
Acts 1:3; 3:19-21; Genesis 1:31; 3:15; 2 Peter 3:7; Isaiah 34; 66
The Hope of the Kingdom
Pastor Emory Macy
The hope of the kingdom of God is the stabilizing force in every
Christian's life.  Our hope in the future determines how we will live today.
Every man desires health and happiness, holiness and wholeness, and
peace of mind and peace with God.  But the ultimate fulfillment of man's
hope will not be until Jesus returns.  And it is then, in that kingdom, when
we will live under a perfect government, in perfect living conditions, with
perfect health, and in a perfect environment.  What a hope we have!
2 Corinthians 11:21-25; Matthew 19:27; Isaiah 65:17,23; 33:24; 25:8;
Psalm 72:16; Acts 3; Jeremiah 31:34
The Voice of Tomorrow Broadcast with Pastor Dale Swartz
A broadcast ministry of Kingdom Ministries, Inc (Litchfield, Minnesota).
Kingdom Ministries is a completely faith-based ministry created to
simply and clearly proclaim the message of the Kingdom of God and
to share God's love in a practical way.  In today's message, we
examine the disobedience of Adam and Eve.  After taking of the fruit,
they covered themselves with fig leaves and hid from God.  But even in
their sin, God made a better covering.  And even today, we still try
hiding from God when we sin.  But God has made a better way to
cover us.    Genesis 3:7,10,14,15
Today's message: Covering Our Sin
The Open Bible Pulpit: Faith, Hope, and Love
Pastor Chuck Jones  E-mail Chuck    Visit Chuck's blog
Church of the Open Bible Pomona, California
In this series of messages based on 1 Thessalonians, Paul's first
letter to a congregation that we have, we see how what Paul has to
say to this new church echoes across the centuries to encourage,
comfort and challenge us. Listen as Pastor Chuck talks about "faith,
hope, and love" based on the Apostle Paul's letter, and the Apostle's
Paul's life.       1 Thessalonians 1:1-5
God's Creative Presence
Pastor Kenneth Howe    E-mail Kenneth
Country Chapel Church of God   Michigantown, Indiana
In a void and out of darkness, God created the heavens and the earth and
brought light to his creation.  And then when he was done, he called it very
good.   In the void and darkness of our lives, God sees potential and light.
And He has created us to be creative.  He has created us to bring a new
light into the world.  He has created us to be creators of good.
Genesis 1:1-3; 4:16-22; Isaiah 61:1-3; Ephesians 2:4-10
Daniel Series #9:  The Arab Empire - Muhammad
Pastor Terry M. Ferrell   E-mail Terry
Greenville Church of God, 217 White Oak Road, Greenville, SC 29605
In this continuing study on the book of Daniel, we continue examining
the details of the kingdoms from Nebuchadnezzar's image in Daniel
Chapter Two.  In today's message, we more thoroughly examine the
longest-lasting empire in history and the prophet who arose and
began the religion we know today as Islam.
Scripture Lesson: Luke 2:24-36
Branded for the Lord
Pastor Ed Bender
Livestock branding is a technique used to identify the owner.  Using a
fire-heated iron, the master marks the cattle to prevent them from
being lost or stolen.  In the same way, as Christians, we should be
showing a visible mark of who our Master is, as God makes His
impression on us.
Galatians 6:17; 2:20; 2 Corinthians 11:11; Hebrews 4:12;
Deuteronomy 6:4-8; Psalm 119:105; Matthew 22:29; Ephesians 5:26;
John 5:38-40; 1 John 5:1-5
Called to Influence
Pastor Steve Taylor   E-mail Steve
Lakeshore Bible Church  Tempe, Arizona
We are called to influence the world for the cause of Christ and the
kingdom of God.  We're called to have an impact, a permeating
influence as his citizens.  We're called to "
be something" rather than to
"
do something."  In the Beatitudes, we learn the qualities and
characteristics it takes to be an influence as the "Salt" and the "Light"
in the world.
Matthew 5:3-16; Luke 13:18-21; John 8:12
Tearing Down Temples of Self  Acts 19:8-27
Pastor Wally Winner
E-mail Wally
Joy Fellowship Church of God of the Abrahamic Faith
Piedmont, South Carolina
In this series on the book of Acts, we're examining the church of the
first-century Christians and what we can learn from this dedicated
fellowship of believers today.  Paul spent three years in Ephesus
because he said there was "a great door and effectual is opened unto
me."    He saw he had a great opportunity in a very pagan place.  He
was the light in a dark place.  It has not changed for us today.  We are
to be the shining lights in this dark world.
Defining the Gospel
Mike Dart    E-mail Mike
Church of God, Faith of Abraham   Cashmere, Washington
God created the world and offers man a chance to repent and escape
judgement and obtain eternal life on the earth through his Son when
Jesus returns.  That's the basic message Paul preached to an
absolutely pagan, idolatrous audience in his sermon on Mars Hill  It's
the same gospel message Jesus and his disciples preached and
taught.  But why has the world rejected such a simple and basic
message of salvation?
Acts 17:22-34
Crossroads
Pastor Mike Montgomery    E-mail Mike
Guthrie Grove Church of God of the Abrahamic Faith
If you don't want to travel any road in particular, and you don't care
where you are going, then any road will do.  But in life, it does matter
which way you choose.  So what direction will you take?  When you
stand at the crossroads, which way will you turn?
Jeremiah 1:10; 6:16; Isaiah 45:22
