The Prophet's Mantle

Elisha served under Elijah.  They both were men of God.  They both preached the truth even when it was
unpopular.  They both spoke out against false religion.  But Elisha had one request.  He wanted double the
power that Elijah had.  What caused God to listen to the demands of Elisha?  Why are we powerless?

In Christ, our example, we have a different standard of greatness.  We're not great because of how many
serve us, but because of who we serve.  It's a different criteria than the world.  In today's message, we learn
three ways we can minister to others like Jesus - our servant king.

In the book of Acts, we read about a sermon that converted 3000 in one day.  Through the gospel message,
the church continued to grow daily.  It was a clear message of faith that comes through Jesus Christ.  It was
a message about his life, his death and resurrection, and his coming return and restitution of the earth.  
And in the disciples' witness, we find the example of teaching and preaching for the church of today.
