Voices of Praise at His Birth

Sometimes during the Christmas season, it's easy to forget
the real meaning and message of the Gospel account of the
birth of the Son of God.  The Almighty, by a miraculous
and direct intervention, changed the course of history and
the lives of all His believers who have trusted since that
wonderful night.  And that is why we celebrate.  That is
why we remember.  And that is why we share the true
message of Christmas and the second advent we are awaiting.
The Gift of the Giver

During this season, it's common for us to gather and
exchange gifts.  And we all can probably quote the verse
of John 3:16: "For God so loved the world that he gave
his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him
shall not perish but have everlasting life."  But what's
so important about the verse?  Think about it.  God gave.
 He gave His Son.  He gave His son for us.  He exchanged
His Son for us!  And that was the world's greatest gift!
We Have Seen His Star

We all know the story about the "wise men" who came from
the East in the Christmas story.  Or do we?  We see their
depictions in movies and plays.  We remember their three
gifts and the significance of each.  But maybe, we
overlook why they came.  Thankfully, the Bible reminds
us.  The wise men said, "We are come to worship him."  
During this season, is that why we come together?
