In this series on the book of Acts, we're examining the church of the first-century Christians
and what we can learn from this dedicated fellowship of believers today. Paul was
confronted with polytheism when he stood on Mars Hill in Athens and taught about the
Unknown God.  It was from this pagan culture that many falsehoods about God developed.  
Christ died believing the same promises as all of us: that He would be resurrected by his
Father to immortality.  We live and die with the same hope.  This is the "Old Time Religion".  
This is the religion of the Apostles and disciples of the early church.

Everything in our lives should be an extension of our worship.  What we do, the things we
say, the places we go all should be in a way that can bring glory to God.  God asked the
prophet Isaiah, "Whom shall I send?"  His reply should be the same as ours.  "Here I am
Lord.  Send me."  It's time to go and tell the world about our great God.
