Holy Spirit Series - #2 - Baptism of the Holy Spirit
Pastor Terry M. Ferrell   E-mail Terry
Greenville Church of God, 217 White Oak Road, Greenville, SC 29605
Continuing our study to research and examine what the Bible really teaches about the Holy Spirit, we look
at "baptism of the Holy Spirit."  What was the baptism in Holy Spirit?   Why was it given?  Was it the only
baptism administered?  Are people now promised Holy Spirit baptism?  What about water baptism?  Find
out these answers today.
Acts 1:1-8,26; Acts 2:38; 10:14,44-48; 11:15-18; Mark 16:15,16; Galatians 3:27-29;
Romans 6:3-5; John 3:22; Hebrews 2:3,4

Don't forget to send Terry a special congratulations this week as we celebrate his 68th year
in the ministry!  What a life of faith!
Abraham Didn't Ask For Directions Either
Pastor Alan Cain    E-mail Alan
Lawrenceville Church of God  4444 St. Paris Pike, Springfield, OH 45504
He was 75 years old, and he was called to pick up and move everything and start going without knowing
where he was headed or what was waiting for him.  Old Abraham, as we know him, was called.  He
obeyed, and he was blessed with God's promise.  And in Christ, we are a part of the same promise.  What
do we learn?  Where God wants you is better than staying where you are.  Staying where you are may be
where God doesn't want you.  Will you answer His call?  Will you obey Him no matter what?  He's waiting
to bless you.
Hebrews 11:8-16,1,39,40; Genesis 12:1-7; 13:14-16; 15:1-6,18; Romans 4:13-17;
Matthew 5:5; Galatians 3:27-29; Revelation 21:4
You Can't Compare Today with Tomorrow
Pastor Rex Cain    E-mail Rex
Church of the Open Bible  Bedford, Ohio
Do you ever think about your own mortality?  Do you wonder where the years have gone?  No matter how
many herbal teas we drink or vitamins we take or how much exercise we do, we're reminded how mortal
we really are.  But this life isn't it.  We have every reason to rejoice.  Jesus is coming soon.  The things we
have now are here today and gone tomorrow, but God is renewing us each day as we look forward for that
immortal life that's coming.
