Lee McQuinn Take Up Thy Cross
|
About Lee (from the album jacket)
|

Lee McQuinn has loved to sing since his early high
school and college days. While attending Purdue
University in West Lafayette, Indiana, as a member
of the Purdue University Glee Club, he was one of a
select group who toured Europe and sang for the
Queen of England. After receiving the Bachelor of
Science Degree in Pharmacy in 1955, he practiced
pharmacy for eight years in central Indiana.
Lee's Christian work as a layman in the Church of
God led him to feel the Lord's call into full-time
Christian service. He studied for the ministry at
Oregon Bible College, affiliated with the Church of
God General Conference. While studying for the
ministry, he had many opportunities to use his
singing talent for the Lord in various churches.
Personal appearances at these churches led to
many requests for a vocal recording, and the door of
opportunity for this was soon opened.
It is his prayer that his recording will bring glory to
God's name and a blessing to those who hear it, as
well as to present a challenge to the listener to "take
up thy cross."
Lee is accompanied by Ruth Doran Griffore at the
organ and by his wife, Shirley, at the piano.
