Experiencing Christ in the Family of God
Cecil Smead
God has given us a marvelous creation, but nothing is as great the wonderful work He accomplishes through the
church today.  He has given us a warm fellowship in the family of God.  It is a spiritual house that is growing and
where Jesus is dwelling.  But we can't do it alone or on our own.  Through the body of Christ, we can truly
experience Christ and share the love of our Heavenly Father.
Governed by God's Law
Cecil Smead
Laws are made by leaders to protect the freedom of everyone.  God's laws bring us freedom.  But like all laws, we
have to obey them by the way we live or there will be consequences.

Sculpted in Christ's Image    2/16/1969
Cecil Smead
God has a plan for your life, and we're all called to the work of Christian service.  But how can we live a life that
measures up to God's standards?  What has God called you to do?  Right now, you might look like just another
fallen boulder, but God sees a new work of art.  Like a sculptor's creation, God gradually chisels away the
unwanted stone in our lives to reveal the image of Christ that's inside of us.

We Have Seen His Star
Pastor Cecil Smead
12-22-1968
We all know the story about the "wise men" who came from the East in the Christmas story.  Or do we?  We see
their depictions in movies and plays.  We remember their three gifts and the significance of each.  But maybe, we
overlook why they came.  Thankfully, the Bible reminds us.  The wise men said, "We are come to worship him."
During this season, is that why we come together?
The Light of Good Tidings of Great Joy Which Shall be to all People
Cecil Smead
We cannot glorify God any better than by living a cheerful and joyous life in anticipation of the better things to
come.  Christians should bring happiness wherever they go.  Even prison couldn't keep Paul from rejoicing in his
letter to the Philippians.  And it's that same great joy we see manifested by many people when we examine the
story of Christ's birth.  It's the same good tidings we need to share with all people.
