Jesus - God's Final Word
Pastor Michael Brown    E-mail Michael
Glad Tidings Church of God  Fonthill, Ontario, Canada
We put great emphasis on the importance of the scriptures, but they are not to be treated superficially or
superstitiously.  Sometimes, we read the Bible but miss the message.  The written word points to God's
living word.  And as we focus on Jesus, we make the Bible more valuable and meaningful in our lives.
Hebrews 1:1-3
Holding Fast the Word of Life
Frank Toth  E-mail Frank
If you lived in a distant land, and your father wrote you a letter, would you be eager to read it?  If you really
loved your father, you'd probably read it again and again.  In the same way, we have all received a message
from our Heavenly Father in His word.  Whoever wants eternal life must understand the word of life.  The
Bible is a comfort when we're ill or going through difficult circumstances.  And it's up to us to extend the
same message to others.

When the Word of God is believed and applied, it is full of power.  And we are begotten as Christians
through the word of truth.  But in able to be "doers of the Word," we have to know the Word.

Resurrection Hope Radio Broadcast: Search the Scriptures   11/4/1984
Z.B. Duncan
Salvation is not a book, or even believing in a book.  But we can find how to obtain salvation through its
testimony and through the man Jesus Christ.  Why do we search the scriptures for answers?  What did
Jesus tell us we'd find?
John 5:39,40
God's Purpose in the Bible
Pastor C.E. Lapp 7-14-1974
What is the best selling but the least read book?  At least, that's how the saying goes.  In today's study, we
examine the Bible and its purpose.  To understand the purpose, we need to know the author. And we all
know the Author.  The Bible is not just a historical, scientific, philosophical, or literary work.  But it's all in
there.  God selected holy men to write His word, and in His word, we find our purpose as instructed by faith
and in God.  The Bible truly is the comprehensive equipment for a man of God.

Being a Berean
Pastor Wally Winner     E-mail Wally     Acts 17:10-14
Joy Fellowship Church of God of the Abrahamic Faith
Piedmont, South Carolina
In this series on the book of Acts, we're examining the church of the first-century Christians and what we
can learn from this dedicated fellowship of believers today. Being a Berean...That's what we need to be.  To
receive the Word in our hearts with all readiness and eagerness and to work at this daily.  We need to earn
the name Berean, and make a habit of daily studying the word of God for devotion and meaning.
