The Church that meets WHERE???

In the summer of 2001, an opportunity to plant a church in Upstate South
Carolina came to Pastor Wally Winner.  An opportunity he could have never
imagined.  A local bar building was available.  Of all places for a church to
meet, could God really use a vacant bar, he wondered?  In nearly 35 years in
the ministry, was he ready to start a new church --- a different kind of church?
   

After careful consideration, much discussion, and repeated prayers, (and lots
of elbow grease) it became clear, and our story began.  Joy Fellowship
Church in Piedmont was born, and in September, on a Saturday, we held our
first worship service.  Never before had anyone ever imagined such a place,
a church at a bar, could now be a house of worship.
