THE KINGDOM PLAN
Memorize Psalm 145:10-13.

Think how much of this world's sorrow, suffering, and unhappiness is due to bad government and of what a beautiful and
happy world this would be if there were no graft nor corruption, no dishonest rulers, and if justice were always done to rich
and poor alike. This is not an idle dream impossible of fulfillment. Just such an ideal government will result when God's
kingdom comes, that time for which every disciple is taught to pray (Matt. 6:10).

Of all forms of government an absolute monarchy is the best ordered and the most efficient. When administered wisely and
justly, it is the ideal form of government. This is the kind of government which God purposes for the earth (Dan. 2:44; Psa.
45:1-7; 145:10-13). Its fruition is the grand climax toward which all His works are moving (Eph. 3:8-11).

The kingdom of God, as we might expect, therefore, is found to be the central topic of Scripture. Within its scope is embraced
every important doctrine of the Bible. Thus it is at once apparent why our Lord placed such stress upon it (Matt. 6:33), why it
formed the subject of all His preaching (Matt. 4:17, 23; 9:35), and why from earliest times God has foretold it.

God's kingdom plan has to do with man and with this earth upon which he dwells (Isa. 45:18; Psa. 37:9, 11, 22, 29; 115:16).
Perfection will crown its completion, and through it the blessing of God will reach to all the peoples of the earth (Gen. 12:1-3;
Num. 14:21). It will be the realization of every desire and longing of the human heart.

Name some of the specific evils of human governments.

Why are monarchies in practice so often intolerable?
Why does the divine government take the form of a kingdom?
