| The Kingdom Future - Prophetic Memorize 2 Peter 1:11. We have learned from Ezekiel 21:21 -27 that the kingdom which the Lord had in times past ceased to exist. However, numerous Scripture verses proclaim a kingdom which will not pass away, but will stand forever. Such scriptures as Isa. 9:6, 7; 11:1-5; 33:22; Jer. 23:5, 6; Psa. 45:1-8; Dan. 7:13, 14; and Zech. 9:9 are prophecies of a future king of this kingdom. Now a king alone is not sufficient to make a kingdom, it requires a capital, a law, and subjects. Tell which one of the above is prophesied in the following references: Psa. 72:8; 103:19; Dan. 2:35; Zech. 14:9; Isa. 2:1-5; Micah 4:1-5; Isa. 60:12; Zech. 14:17; Isa. 33:20. 21; 59:20; Matt. 5:35. The kingdom is also prophesied in Daniel 2:34, 45 as a stone that became great and filled the whole earth. But surely there is no single prophetic statement that is richer and grander in its prophetic purport than that made by the angel of God to Mary, "fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shall conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: and he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever: and of his kingdom there shall be no end."—Luke 1:30-33. The entire Bible is built around prophecies concerning this event and its ultimate results. God's King and kingdom are the basis of Christian teaching. Who is to be the king of this kingdom? Where is the throne to be located? What is meant by "house of Jacob"? "throne of David"? Are these prophecies still prophecy? It has been over twenty-five hundred years since the ancient kingdom was overthrown. In all this time has Judah lost hope and ceased to look for a kingdom? Has Matthew 6:10 been fulfilled? Why was Christ named "Jesus"? THIS IS LESSON FOUR FROM THE BEREAN BIBLE STUDIES SENIOR SERIES BOOK THREE (GOD'S KINGDOM). BEREAN BIBLE STUDIES SENIOR BOOK NUMBER ONE (THE GOSPEL PLAN) AND BOOK NUMBER TWO (LIFE AND IMMORTALITY) ARE ALSO AVAILABLE FOR $5 EACH. EACH BOOK CONTAINS A YEAR'S WORTH OF WEEKLY LESSONS.
