Surely this was an Innocent Man Pastor Jeff Fletcher E-mail Jeff Bethel Church of God of the Abrahamic Faith, Pelzer, South Carolina We don't know a lot about the centurion who was at the cross when Jesus was crucified. But as a soldier in charge of this execution, he had seen many guilty men suffer the punishment they deserved. He had probably seen it all and heard it all from the prisoners. But this man was different. This Jesus didn't deserve his sentence. He was innocent. But through his sacrifice, he has removed our guilt.
Hope Road Pastor Bruce Reye E-mail Bruce Chapel Hill Church of God Urbana, Ohio Everyone loves a parade. In many ways, the ride into Jerusalem by Jesus probably looked and seemed like a parade. The people were jubilant. Their king was riding in. But soon, the people would reject their Christ. Even his own disciples and his closest companions would leave him. But Jesus knew what he had to accomplish. He knew his ride in would soon cost him his life. But he also knew his ride in would bring the world hope.
The Symbolism of Palm Sunday Pastor Alan Cain E-mail Alan Lawrenceville Church of God Springfield, Ohio As Jesus made his triumphant entry into Jerusalem, the people gave him the red-carpet treatment. But many pilgrims who got behind Jesus on the way to his throne wouldn't follow him on the way to his cross. They waved palms before the coming king, but they would not obey the suffering servant. But sometimes, God doesn't show up the way we want Him to or do things how we want Him to. But He always works according to His plan.
