But as a soldier in charge of this execution, he had seen many guilty men suffer the punishment they deserved. He had probably seen it all and heard it all from the prisoners. But this man was different. This Jesus didn't deserve his sentence. He was innocent. But through his sacrifice, he has removed our guilt. |
