It's disappointing to see a sports team loaded with talent squander its talent because of selfishness.  It can be that
same way in the church.  Humility and unity are crucial to the success of any church.  In today's text in our
continuing study in Philippians, we pause to look at 4 foundations of humility and the 3 descriptions of the unity
Paul had in mind...and had to avoid the "unity-killers."

Children aren't the only ones who ask, "Why?"  And there aren't always easy answers either.  It can be that way in
our study of the Holy Spirit.  So why even study it?  In today's message, we examine the significance and the
importance of the Holy Spirit in the ministry of Jesus, the ministry of his disciples, and in our ministry today.

God promised that he would regather his people out of the nations from around the world.  And He has.  He also
promised that the nations of the world would work to part His land.  And they have.  In the tiny nation of Israel, we
see His hand at work in human affairs.  As we examine the modern history of the Jewish state and look at the
events surrounding its establishment, we are also reminded of the events that are yet to come in this chosen land.
