Tough Leadership for Tough Times 1 Peter 5:1-5
Pastor Steve Taylor
E-mail Steve
Lakeshore Bible Church  Tempe, Arizona
As followers of Christ, we're not always promised our lives will be easy, but one thing is
certain: tough times demand a tough faith.  In this series from the first letter of Peter, we're
studying how to not only survive, but
thrive, in the hardest times.  Today's study looks at the
qualities of a  servant leader in the church and challenges us to encourage and pray for the
leaders in our churches as well.
It Only Matters Who You Know
Pastor Wally Winner     E-mail Wally
Joy Fellowship Church of God of the Abrahamic Faith  Piedmont, South Carolina
In this series on the book of Acts, we're examining the church of the first-century Christians
and what we can learn from this dedicated fellowship of believers today.  Looking at the 10th
chapter of Acts and Peter's response to Corenelius' invitation teaches us several things.
Cornelius by all accounts would have been a good church member.  He was a devout man,
feared God, gave alms, and prayed.  But he realized that there was something missing.  He
needed to know who Jesus was.  Peter help bring that to happen.  And Peter needed to
know that the Gospel was for everyone regardless of race, nationality or social status.  It
doesn't matter who you are, it matters who you know.
