This is not the world that God intended.  Death was not a part of His plan.  But God didn't
leave us without any hope.  As we look at the story of the resurrection of Lazarus, we see a
Jesus angered by death.  He called Lazarus out of his grave and ripped him from the
clutches of death.  And Jesus is coming back again.  That's our hope.  And this time he's
coming to conquer death and give a life that no one can take away.

We all have made promises.  Sometimes we make promises we can't keep.  Throughout the
Bible, God has promised his people many things.  How about having a son when you're 100
years old who all the world will be blessed from?  No problem.  God promised.

When Jesus came, he was not all that the people had hoped and expected.  As he made his
"triumphal entry" into Jerusalem, he already knew the acclaim he was receiving would soon
turn into shouts of rejection.  The very people he was sent to save would be the very ones
who would decide to turn their backs on him.  We have the same choice.  Will you accept
Jesus, the Son of David, the Son of Man, the Son of God?
