In today's story, we see the religious leaders - who could not stand Pilate - coming to the
governor of Judea asking him for a favor.  Jesus had been arrested, and the religious
leaders wanted him dead.  But they needed Pilate's authority.   When Pilate spoke to Jesus,
we see words in their conversation that still speak to us today - and a reminder of where the
power and authority on earth and in our lives really comes from.
