God Has Promised
Ray Corbaley
Church of God, Faith of Abraham, Cashmere, Washington
As we look throughout the scriptures, we realize God has always worked
through covenants and promises.  Some of those same promises He
made so long ago are still waiting to be fulfilled.  He's also calling us to
share those promises to others through the gospel of the kingdom.  What
are those promises?  When will God fulfill them?  Find out today.
The Open Bible Pulpit:  Yahweh's Truth is Forever
Pastor Chuck Jones  E-mail Chuck    Visit Chuck's blog
Church of the Open Bible Pomona, California
After all is said and done, God's truth stands forever.  God's word doesn't
need to be updated or changed or proven or revised.  What does need to
be revised is our understanding and our behavior in accordance to His
word.  And during this season of hope, it is good to revisit it and determine
what hope we base our lives on.

When Jesus Comes
Pastor James Mattison
Jesus began his ministry preaching the gospel of the kingdom.
Throughout his ministry, he emphasized the same message.  We also
treasure the precious promises God has made to his elect.  God has
made plans to restore the earth and establish an everlasting kingdom for
his children at the return of Jesus Christ and the resurrection of the saints.
This is our hope.  Knowing this sustains us.  And he's chosen us to inherit
this great reward through faith.
The Messianic Hope

John 1:29-42
Israel wanted deliverance.  The people were under oppression.  They were
looking for God's Anointed to come in power and deliver the people.  But
they weren't looking for Jesus.  Although all of the prophecies indicated how
Jesus would come, they rejected him.  The hope even for today is that the
Messiah will come, that a deliverer is coming to bring salvation to his
people.  He is the only hope.

Acts Chapter 2
As you reflect on your happiest moments, do any of them have to do with
church?  Or are your church experiences filled with arguments at board
meetings and criticism?  What does Christ want his church to be?  What
can we learn from the earliest followers of Christ?  What was the church
intended to be?  What has the church become?  What is our challenge?
And how can we develop a devoted church that Jesus wanted us to be?
Living Light    John 8:12; 9:5
Pastor Steve Taylor
E-mail Steve
Lakeshore Bible Church  Tempe, Arizona
Today's message continues a new series focusing on the great "I Am"
statements in the book of John.  What did it mean when Jesus said that he
was the "light of the world?"  What was significant about the events
happening when he made this statement?  What does the Bible teach
about "light?"  How can we also let "our light shine among men?"
Forgiveness of Sins
Pastor Wally Winner     E-mail Wally     Acts 13:38, 39
Joy Fellowship Church of God of the Abrahamic Faith
Piedmont, South Carolina
In this series on the book of Acts, we're examining the church of the
first-century Christians and what we can learn from this dedicated
fellowship of believers today. Today, we look at the subject of forgiveness..
God provides complete forgiveness for us through His Son Jesus Christ.
Our sins are not held against us any more.  We find in what is called The
Lord's Prayer that only one place has a condition: "For if you forgive men
their trespasses, your heavenly Father also will forgive you; but if you do
not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your
trespasses" Matt. 6:14, 15).  We are most like men when we judge.  We
are the most like God when we forgive.

What Tomorrow Will Be
A Teachable Moment, Part One
Pastor Dave Hixon    E-mail Dave
Brush Creek Church of God   Tipp City, Ohio
As we think back over our lives, we remember those times where we
saw a passage that seemed to jump out of scripture at us.  We
remember those times where suddenly all the confusion became
clear.  It's at these moments we experience what teachers call
"optimal intellectual arousal."  How can we develop optimal learning
in us?  Find out the three ingredients we need.

The Full Assurance of Hope
Pastor Mike Montgomery    E-mail Mike
Guthrie Grove Church of God of the Abrahamic Faith
Pelzer, South Carolina
What would we do, and where would we be without hope?  Biblical
hope is not wishful thinking but confident expectation based upon the
faithfulness of God.  Our hope is in God's salvation plan centered in
his son.  Our hope is in the future.  Our hope is through our faith.  Our
hope is firmly founded...and with an
eternal lifetime guarantee!

Do you ever watch any of these make-over shows?  Whether it's a
car, a house, or a person, the show takes whatever they have and
changes it into something better and new.  But that's all superficial.
What we need to know is how to be a more loving, kinder, and
courageous person.  How can we have better relationships with
people and with God?  What we need is not an extreme
physical
make-over, but an extreme
spiritual make-over.  Today's message
shares how we begin our spiritual transformation.
What We Are Looking For
Elder Bill Vaughn
Bethel Church of God of the Abrahamic Faith
What does God want from us?  Do you ever ask yourself that?  How
much time do you spend in His word or in prayer?  Are you anxiously
anticipating Christ's return?  Are you prepared?  Look around you.  Wit
everything happening in this world, we know it can't be long.  But do
you know what you're looking for?

The Open Bible Pulpit:  Perfectly-Trained Disciples
Pastor Chuck Jones  E-mail Chuck    Visit Chuck's blog
Church of the Open Bible Pomona, California
What does it take to be a disciple of Jesus? Jesus promised that all
of his followers who submitted to his perfect, complete training would
be like he is. That's quite a claim. Luke 6:37-45 records that claim,
and what is involved in perfect training:
knowledge, skill, and desire.

message, we examine three prophetic promises about the Messiah

prophet raised up among the people like Moses (Deuteronomy 18).

The Prophetic Present
Pastor Hollis Partlowe

Look in the newspaper, or watch 30 minutes of the news.  You'll find
out quickly this old world's not improving.  Evil deeds and violence
permeate our culture.  Seeing all of these things might make you
worry.  And yet, the Bible tells us to "rejoice?"  We don't rejoice in the
evil, but we know the end is near.  A new age of peace and joy will
soon be here.  Our God has promised His people a place in this
perfect Kingdom.  And God's promises are sure!
